Cysterhood Pamphlets consist of six parts that deal with menstruation problems, with a particular focus on irregular menstruation – such as amenorrhea, oligomenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, and abnormal uterine bleeding. This pamphlet series enables you to learn about the symptoms and causes of these disorders and how some lifestyle factors are involved in causing irregular menstruation. Additionally, this pamphlet series explains how such disorders can be diagnosed, which tests are used for them, and what treatment options are available.
The questionnaire contains four components: knowledge of menstrual health and cycles, awareness of health issues related to menstruation and their relation to period cycle irregularities, access to physical and mental health support, and access to eco-friendly products. These responses obtained from the baseline survey were used for the development of the PADS White Paper.
M-WOW carried out a comprehensive survey amongst the women and girls of Hamari Pahchan. The survey was structured in four areas: first, knowledge of menstrual health and the menstrual cycle; second, awareness of irregular periods and menstrual health issues; third, access to support systems for physical and mental health; and lastly, access to eco-friendly menstrual products.
Building on these findings, we conducted extensive research in the field of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and Polycystic Ovary Disorder to write a white paper, consequently describing the gaps in public understanding of these issues, as well as the effectiveness of campaigns already running to raise awareness regarding them. This paper will also provide an account of our public health institutions and their role in this aspect and suggest policy pathways to integrate PCOS/PCOD education into the existing healthcare system.
